A bit concerned that BOM has issued rainfall alert for Nurenmerenmong 2648 which is talking up 100mm over the next 24 hrs. , but the Jane's weather daily update doesn't reflect that probability. Makes it difficult for me to plan work on my property up there.
Should be 2649 not 2648
Hi John,
Here's the latest output from all the different weather models for your spot:
The models have up to 9mm today, and up to 39mm on Monday and you can see the timing of when it's likely to begin and end. This is raw model data.
BoM have issued a Severe Weather Warning for the following area of which you are right on the border:
The risk is:
"HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for southern parts of the state west of the ranges. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across the state during Sunday afternoon and focus across this region tonight and early Monday morning. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 40 to 70 mm are likely.
Locally INTENSE RAINFALL which may lead to DANGEROUS AND LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODING is also possible during this period with six-hourly rainfall totals up to 100 mm."
If one of these storms gives you a direct hit, then falls of 100mm are possible (directly underneath).
Yey, thanks for getting back to me on this. I can scale down the panicometer a bit.
Hi John, how did you go with the rain?
